Space Weather Instrumentation

SSI offers a variety of Space Weather Instrumentation including all-sky Doppler imagers, sensitivity calibrated photometers, spectral and hyperspectral imaging systems, robust motorized filter wheels, and precision pointing head mirror systems. Instrumentation is remotely operable via instrument control and analysis software.

All-Sky Doppler Imager

Adaptability to candidate mesospheric emissions for winds (primarily OH in the NIR) or to the lower thermospheric green-line.
Optical lens system, including a 6 inch objective achromatic lens, a collimating lens, and an adjustable zoom focus
Pressure servo to establish and remotely maintain dry gas pressure in a tuned etalon cavity.
Integrated blocking filter, CCD, and dome
