A filter wheel that holds 5 2” diameter interference filters allows all-sky monochromatic images at select wavelengths to be collected ideal for airglow observations, astronomical seeing calculations, aerosol observations and environmental monitoring. Comes complete with netbook computer and imaging software.

SSI's award-winning LCFP tunable filters provides simple, rapid, precise, stable, 100% repeatable, solid-state wavelength selection with low voltage. Available stock or custom specifications include diameters from 25 to 80 mm, operating ranges from 500 nm to 14 µm, and spectral resolution from 0.002 to 36 Å (VIS).

SSI specializes in the construction of classic air-gap Fabry-Perot (FP) interferometers with over 40 years of collective FP experience. These precision instruments yield maximum throughput for a given spectral resolution. Custom features include diameters from 1 cm to 6 inches and resonant cavity spacing from 3 um to 6 cm.

The Spatial Heterodyne Spectrometer (SHS) combines the high resolution and throughput of conventional interferometers with extreme robustness. The SHS does not require scanning to function at its full resolving power. The SHS can be made monolithic by fusing all of the main optical elements into a single block with no moving parts.

SSI offers a variety of Space Weather Instrumentation including all-sky Doppler imagers, sensitivity calibrated photometers, spectral and hyperspectral imaging systems, robust motorized filter wheels, and precision pointing head mirror systems. Instrumentation is remotely operable via instrument control and analysis software.
